Whether you’re in the mood for a dark adult comedy or something kid-friendly cartoons, here are some animated series you can watch on Netflix.

#1. Bojack Horseman

Bojack Horseman is a dark comedy that follows the life of Bojack, a has-been celebrity who is trying to make a comeback in Hollywoo.

The show takes place in an alternate reality where anthropomorphic animals and humans live side by side.

Bojack himself is a self-involved middle-aged man who spends most of his time intoxicated.

The series is created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Will Arnett voices Bojack, and the series also features the voices of Amy Sedaris, Aaron Paul, Alison Brie, and Paul F. Tompkins.

#2. Arcane

Arcane is a new animated series from Netflix from the world of League of Legends.

Jinx and Vi, two criminals who team up to pull heists, find themselves in the middle of an international conspiracy.

Riot Games comic book artist and game developer Joe Madureira produces the series.

It features the voices of Hailee Steinfeld, AKA Vi, and Ella Purner, who plays Jinx.

#3. Rick and Morty

Rick and Morty is a sci-fi comedy that follows the misadventures of Rick Sanchez, an alcoholic mad scientist, and his hapless grandson Morty Smith.

The show is full of dark humor and nihilistic wit. It has been praised for its originality, clever writing, and gory violence.

The series stars Justin Roiland as both Rick and Morty.

#4. Hilda

Hilda is based on graphic novels of the same name by Luke Pearson. The series follows the adventures of Hilda, a blue-haired girl who lives in a fantastical world full of elves, trolls, and giants.

She befriends a shy deer fox named Twig, and together they go on adventures.

#5. Disenchantment

Disenchantment is an adult fantasy comedy created by Matt Groening, the mind behind The Simpsons and Futurama.

The series takes place in the medieval kingdom of Dreamland and follows the adventures of Princess Bean, her personal demon Luci, and Elfo, an elf who has run away from home.

The show features the voices of Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Eric Andre as Luci, Nat Faxon as Elfo, and John DiMaggio as Bean’s father, King Zog.

#6. The Dragon Prince

In the magical land of Xadia, there is tension between the human kingdom of Katolis and the elven nation of Xadia.

The Dragon Prince follows the story of two human princes, Callum and Ezran, who team up with an elf named Rayla to return a dragon egg to its mother in Xadia.

The series was created by Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond, who both worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The show features the voices of Sasha Rojen as Ezran, Jason Simpson as Barius, Paula Burrows as Rayla, and Jack De Sena as Callum.

#7. Final Space

Final Space is a sci-fi comedy that tells the story of Gary, a spaceman/astronaut with his planet-destroying sidekick or alien friend called Mooncake.

They bond and work together to unlock the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist.

The series is directed by Olan Rogers and Emmy award-winner David Sacks (The Simpsons).
