YouTube Channel Ideas You Can Use (+ Examples)
Unique YouTube channels, how to find your style and YouTube niche.
At Breadnbeyond, we’ve worked with thousands of businesses over the years to help them tell their stories through animation.
One thing I’ve seen consistently (especially in the last couple of years ) is the incredible impact YouTube has on brand growth, audience building, and monetisation.
A lot of people come to us asking: “What kind of channel should I start?”
So I thought I’d share what I’ve learned, not just from my perspective as a business owner, but from our experience handling various clients.
Here are the top 3 YouTube channel ideas I recommend in 2025:
1. Tutorials & Educational How-Tos
If you can teach something valuable or answer questions your audience is already asking, you’re not just creating content but also building authority.
One example of a good YouTube channel about this is TheFigCo, which creates tutorials around branding and digital marketing.
One of their standout videos was “How to make a YouTube banner.” It’s simple, targeted, and evergreen.
2. Cooking
I’ve seen many creators and food-related brands succeed by sharing recipes or even just cooking tips
And here’s the strategic part. You can easily integrate affiliate links, sponsorships, or product placements into the content.
I’ve seen several cooking-focused businesses that introduce their recipes or tools before the video even starts.
Take Gordon Ramsay, for example. His YouTube channel is a perfect mix of personality, practical value, and subtle brand reinforcement.
You don’t have to be a celebrity chef. Just be consistent and stay authentic.
3. Explainer & Educational Channels
Naturally, this one’s close to my heart since they are our company’s speciality.
Explainer videos perform incredibly well on YouTube when paired with an educational approach.
Think about this: what’s something complex your audience struggles to understand?
Now imagine explaining that in 60–90 seconds using animation or motion graphics.
That’s what converts passive viewers into loyal subscribers.
Educational content gives you a platform to share knowledge and position yourself as a thought leader, while also building SEO-friendly assets that last.

How to Find Ideas for Your Style and Niche
What the perfect YouTube niche for your channel is depends on three elements: what you’re passionate about, your knowledge and skills, and whether there’s an accessible audience for a specific topic.
Your ideal niche is where these three overlap.
Start by asking yourself what you’re good at.
These could be skills that you acquired as part of your job or hobby, or knowledge based on personal experiences.
Quite often, they’ll perceive talents and skills in you that you’re a little blind to.
Second, narrow down which of the topics on the list you truly are passionate about. Your audience can tell if you’re excited about the content you’re producing.
Consequently, genuine, authentic enthusiasm about a topic is a magnet for viewers.
If you don’t have a lot of skills in the area you’re passionate about, you can give it a shot and share your learning journey with your audience.
Seeing you learn can be very engaging for an audience with similar interests. It can be pretty inspiring.
Finally, if you’re strapped for ideas, find out what’s trending now. You can check out what topics, niches, and creators you can find in the “Trending” section of the platform.
It’s a good idea to check out who’s hot at the moment.
You should find yourself a few different ideas, because not all niches are going to be suitable for making YouTube videos an enjoyable hobby, much less a career.
